飛燕蒔絵杯
虫を追って翻ったり、急に方向や角度を変えたり…空を自在に飛ぶ燕。翻った瞬間に白いお腹を見せながら、勢いよく飛んでいる姿を、高蒔絵という技法で描いています。どの角度から器を見ても、燕が翻っているように見える構図です。背景は金梨地に、粒子の違う金粉のぼかし蒔きで、春霞のような空気感を表現。高蒔絵と金地という組み合わせは、蒔絵の中でも高級とされる技法です。器の外側は漆の潤、高台裏は漆の黒で仕上げていて、金・潤・黒という全体の色調にも樋渡さんらしさが表れています。
