定番で作り続けている蟻のタンブラー。
「イギリスのゴブレットのように紋章を入れたいなと思った時に、私にとって象徴的なものといえば蟻だったんです」と由良さん。
ガラスを吹くための竿にも、蟻のマークを付けているそうで、由良さんにとって蟻は昆虫の中でも特にシンボリックな存在とのこと。金箔を削って描いたメリハリボディは、金の輝きとともに繊細さも纏っています。
金の部分はガラスとガラスで挟んであるため、金が剥がれたり変色したりすることはありません。

ガラスとガラスの間に金を挟むゴールドサンドイッチ技法をヒントに、由良さんが考案したオリジナル技法で制作。吹いたガラスに金箔（金澄）を熱で圧着し、絵を残すように彫り込み、自由な図案を実現しています。
