四方ぐいのみ（さぎ）

四角い高台から上にひろがって円に近づくような形で、口縁は飲み口のよい薄づくりに。図案はツバメ・タンポポ・スミレ・ペンペン草・カラスのエンドウ・キュウリ草など。透明なガラスには空気のような水のような風情があって、図案との景色が情緒的です。

ガラスとガラスの間に金を挟むゴールドサンドイッチ技法をヒントに、由良さんが考案したオリジナル技法で制作。吹いたガラスに金箔（金澄）を熱で圧着し、絵を残すように彫り込み、自由な図案を実現しています。図案の上からガラスを被せるので、金が剥がれたり色が変わることもありません。
