つばめ四方ぐいのみ

四角形というよりは、四方にゆるやかにひろがる形が絶妙な浅めのぐいのみ。削ってからよく磨いたガラスは水や空気の塊のようで、そこに水辺を飛ぶツバメの姿が浮かびます。

ガラスとガラスの間に金を挟むゴールドサンドイッチ技法をヒントに、由良さんが考案したオリジナル技法で制作。吹いたガラスに金箔（金澄）を熱で圧着し、絵を残すように彫り込み、自由な図案を実現しています。図案の上からガラスを被せるので、金が剥がれたり色が変わることもありません。器の内側は宙吹きを生かし、側面や底面は削り出してから丁寧に磨き込んでいます。お酒を注いで金の表情を楽しめます。
