春 つばめ 厚地皿

ガラスらしさも楽しめるよう厚めに仕上げた皿。春の図案は、燕、ヤモリ、蟻、ちょうちょ、スミレ、ナズナ、ホトケノザ、キュウリ草、オオバコ、タネツケバナ、カラスノエンドウ。

ガラスとガラスの間に金を挟むゴールドサンドイッチ技法をヒントに由良さんが考案したオリジナル技法。吹いたガラスに金箔（金澄）を熱で圧着し、絵を残すように金を削り、自由な図案を実現しています。図案の上からガラスを被せるので、金が剥がれたり色が変わることもありません。
皿の内側も高台も削り出し、研磨して形を作っています。
