皮鯨ぐい呑

少しひろがった口縁に、鉄釉が縁取る皮鯨。制作の工程で、先に釉薬を掛けてから口縁に鉄釉をつけることで鉄釉がにじみ、この素朴で飽きのこない景色が生まれます。鯨の皮身を連想させる名と姿ですが、矢野さんの工房からも近い呼子は捕鯨基地として栄えた歴史があるそうです。
