皮鯨盃

少しひろがった形の口辺に、鉄釉が縁取る皮鯨。制作の工程で、釉薬を掛けてから口辺を鉄釉につけることで鉄釉がにじみ、この素朴で飽きのこない景色が生まれます。鯨の皮身を連想させる名と姿ですが、矢野さんの工房からも近い呼子は捕鯨基地として栄えた歴史があるそうです。
