「形を見せる時に、白で表現している人は多いけれど、実は黒って形がパキンと見えやすいんです。こうして面を取ると、逆光のところと光が当たるところでパキンとして、ラインがハッキリ見えてきますよね」と矢野さん。最初は花入れからつくり始めたというモダンな黒釉。花を生けて自然光の中に飾っているうちに、見る時間によって形の見え方が変わることに気付いたそうです。「光に形が映えるように、つくりも繊細にピンとした感じにしています」。手に取りやすいサイズ感です。
