落葉高木の樹上に寄生して育つヤドリギ。「まるで工芸品のような完成された美しさをもつ不思議な植物。最初の葉を出すまでに3年半もかかるそうで、冬になって葉が落ちた高い木の上にヤドリギを見つけると、長い時間をかけて成長したのね…と嬉しくなります」と藤井さん。実の部分を有線七宝で高く盛って焼き付け、葉は外側と内側の両方に絵付けをして、独特な葉のひろがりや重なりを表現しています。
