パート・ド・ヴェールという古代に生まれたガラス技法で作られています。ガラスの粉末を型に敷き詰めて溶解し成形する技法です。杯の内側はツルッとしていて、外側は半透明のマットな手触り。大室さんが好きだという黄色が印象的です。

パート・ド・ヴェールについて

まず粘土で原型を作り、そこに石膏を塗って鋳型を作ります。
柄は粘土の原型につけたり、石膏の鋳型につけます。
鋳型にザラメ状、パウダー状のガラスの粉をはり付け、細かな色づけはパウダー状のガラスを混ぜたり、ガラスを糊で練って塗ったりもします。
その後、焼成し、冷えたら鋳型から外して表面を研磨して仕上げます。
